Pathfinders Custom Conversions – Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions
• “Pathfinders” refers to Pathfinders Custom Conversions.
• “Customer” refers to the individual or entity commissioning the campervan conversion.
• “Conversion” refers to the agreed-upon work to transform the customer’s vehicle into a campervan.
2. Booking and Deposit
• To secure a conversion slot, a non-refundable booking deposit of €1000 is required.
• The booking deposit will be deducted from the final conversion cost.
3. Payment Schedule
• 50% Deposit: 50% of the initial quote is payable upon delivery of the vehicle to Pathfinders for conversion.
• 25% Interim Payment: A further 25% payment is due midway through the conversion process. Any agreed-upon extras or modifications
will be added to this payment.
• 25% Final Payment: The remaining 25% balance is payable upon completion of the conversion and prior to collection of the vehicle.
4. Variations and Extras
• Any changes or additions to the original scope of work must be agreed upon in writing by both parties.
• Costs for variations and extras will be clearly communicated and added to the interim payment.
5. Materials and Parts
• Pathfinders will source and supply all materials and parts required for the conversion, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
• If the customer supplies any parts, Pathfinders cannot guarantee their compatibility, functionality, or warranty.
6. Warranty
• Pathfinders provides a 6-month warranty on all workmanship and installed appliances, commencing from the date of vehicle collection.
• This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship but excludes:
o Normal wear and tear.
o Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance.
o Faults in customer-supplied parts.
o Any modifications made to the conversion by a third party.
7. Completion Timeframe
• Pathfinders will provide an estimated completion timeframe based on the scope of work.
• While we strive to adhere to the estimated timeframe, unforeseen circumstances may cause delays. Pathfinders will communicate any
potential delays to the customer promptly.
8. Access and Vehicle Condition
• The customer must ensure the vehicle is in a suitable condition for conversion, free from any pre-existing damage or defects that may
hinder the process.
• The customer must provide clear and unobstructed access to the vehicle throughout the conversion.
9. Cancellation
• If the customer cancels the conversion after work has commenced, they will be liable for the cost of labour and materials incurred up to
the point of cancellation.
• The initial booking deposit is non-refundable.
10. Liability
• Pathfinders will take all necessary precautions to protect the customer’s vehicle during the conversion process. However, we are not
liable for any accidental damage that may occur, except in cases of negligence.
• Pathfinders is not liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings left in the vehicle during the conversion.
11. Insurance
• The customer is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is adequately insured throughout the conversion process.
12. Force Majeure
• Neither party will be liable for any delay or failure in performance due to events beyond their reasonable control, such as natural
disasters, pandemics, or governmental regulations.
13. Governing Law
• These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.
14. Acceptance
• By making the booking deposit and proceeding with the conversion, the customer acknowledges and accepts these terms and
conditions.
