With a simple brief, “I want to include my Yeti Cooler, my compostable toilet and i want you guys to do what you do best”, We are delighted with how this Land Rover defender turned out.
The Result, a stealthy and comfortable off-grid machine. We seamlessly integrated the key requests while also packing in everything needed for life on the road!
Cooking & Water
This Land Rover boasts both cooking and water features, Key components for any camper! When plugged in to 230v power, the Sterling induction hob can be used as a means for cooking. a Gas install was an option in this LR but to save some much needed space, Induction was the way to go!
There was already a fresh water tank on board, but the fill point wasn’t accessible, this meant we needed to add our own new fill point and connect it to the existing tank to allow for fresh water through a pump driven tap! There’s also an on board waste tank so no used water gets dumped somewhere it shouldn’t be.
Sleeping & Electrics
This Land Rover was delivered to us already fitted with the Alu-cab pop up roof! But in case for bad weather, or just a quick overnight sleep we added a custom pull out bed. This allows for a bench seat by day, and a snug double bed at night. All topped off with some custom Orange upholstery to match the all important Yeti Cooler.
The timber used in this conversion was Morland Carbon Grey. A lightweight solution, and a color which really suits the overall theme of the LR, LED lighting really shows up the contrast between the upholstery and timber finish which is something we are delighted with.
To power said LED’s, this LR is equipped with a second leisure system, that powers the Diesel Heater and USB sockets throughout.
